It's somehow our 2nd anniversary already

2026-11-05

Two years ago, there was an election that didn’t go the way I hoped it would. But I couldn’t spend too long wallowing in despair, because I was in the final days of the 6-month-long process of starting a brand new yarn shop in Andersonville.

A week later, on November 13, 2024, we cut the yarn ribbon and opened our doors to a bigger crowd than we could have dreamed of. Since then, we’ve dealt with unpredictable and sometimes totally erroneous tariffs, rapidly increasing shipping costs, AI eating the world, and masked ICE officers right on our street corner.

But we’ve also had the best customers in the world come back over and over, bringing us their stretch-goal patterns, their yarn stock suggestions, their finished first sweaters, and their excitement to learn how to make things with their hands. You’ve helped us not just survive these two years, but thrive.

It’s two years later, and we’ve just had another election. Things aren’t looking quite as dark as last time. Here’s to the next two years.

Second anniversary party - friday november 13, 5 to 7. image of a drawstring bag, some vintage style garment labels, and two loyalty cards.

Our anniversary party will be on Friday, November 13, from 5 to 7 pm. Come on by for snacks, drinks, brand new merch, and (last but not least) 15% off everything in the store, all day long.

Thanks for being there with us for these two weird years.
