Dear Alma,

I hope the seagulls in Skagen are being dramatic. Frederiksberg is still warm, like wearing a jumper you don't need yet.

We got these drawing beams at the library. You sketch on paper and it makes a little 3D shape float above your desk. I drew a dragon with three heads and the librarian said "impressive, Oskar" in her normal voice which means she meant it. Then I tried to draw Bastian sleeping in the window and the beam made him look like a grey loaf of bread. It got his shape but not the way the light goes through his ears in the afternoon. I tried three times. The real Bastian just kept sleeping.

I'm drawing in my old sketchbook again. The paper kind. Bastian sits on it sometimes which is annoying but also warm.

School starts next week. I have decided to be the kind of person who raises his hand.

Do you still have those smooth stones from the beach? I found one here that looks like a dragon egg.
