DoorDash now takes your dinner order by text, no app

One new launch today, plus platform check-ins and the week in review. Full record: https://bombycine.github.io/claude-routines/index.html

New launch — Enterprise tier

DoorDash lets you order dinner by texting an AI agent in Apple Messages

US food and retail delivery marketplace.

DoorDash unveiled Text DoorDash on Sept 30, an expansion of its in-app Ask DoorDash assistant. Customers text what they want (e.g. “order my usual protein bowl to the office”) and the agent builds the cart and checks out with their stored payment method, without opening the app. It matches your phone number to your DoorDash profile to use order history and preferences, and is built to handle group orders with different dietary needs. US-only beta on iPhone; DoorDash warns the AI may occasionally add something you didn’t ask for.

How to try it: join the US beta waitlist via DoorDash; the agent runs in Apple Messages on iPhone once access is granted.
