Human Judgment Needed
This is why AI won't replace you outright — judgment (a human skill)
People keep asking lately, “How long is my job going to last?”
"Will AI take my job?"
Might also make you think… You know you’ve got skills but now AI can do some of your tasks.
You have experience but now wonder if that experience still counts. Google even reported that technical skills now “expire” in as short as two years. (Google AI Agent Trends 2026)
But maybe we're missing something. AI isn’t really removing the need for people (at least in some industries).
The experts have weighed in. AI + Human is the new game.
The AI hype is shifting what you're valued for.
AI, schools, and businesses still NEED HUMAN VALUE.

AI takes over some tasks, maybe a lot of tasks but a certain human ability is becoming more important.
It’s the ability to:
Ask the right questions
Define the problem accurately
Interpret what matters in the right context
Decide what to do next
This is judgment – something that AI doesn't have (yet?)

It is clear that AI surpasses humans in analyzing big data (University of Cambridge, 2025). But when faced with uncertainty or ambiguity, AI falls short of what humans can do.
Harvard chimes in that human judgment and experience matter. Even if everyone has access to AI, experience and domain knowledge are needed for context. These are the factors that can differentiate decisions that involve AI usage.
The University of Cambridge concludes whether AI can make better decisions than humans:
“Yes – when it comes to data-driven, logic-based decisions, where AI is unmatched in speed, accuracy and pattern recognition.
No – when it comes to intuition, ethical judgment, adaptability and strategic foresight.”
