You could say we're on a roll.

But if anime has taught us anything, it's to never stop pushing the limit. That or relax and enjoy a nice cake. Okay, so maybe this medium is diverse in the stories and lessons it tells.

What does that have to do with AnimeChicago? We've done a lot of different, but equally awesome, anime-related things, and we'll never stop never stopping. Evidence below.

Latest from AnimeChicago

• Know an anime-inspired creator in the Chicago area? Tell us about them! We’re developing a program to highlight and promote local artists and content creators. Details coming soon.

• Our monthly Anime Circle (aka the book club for anime) has grown these last few months. This boost in attendance is thanks to blockbuster shows Spy × Family and My Dress-Up Darling, our Discord threads to chat through the season, and our weekly Watchalong meetups. Hope to see you at our next one: Ya Boy Kongming!

• Our in-person July Mixer and June Beach Party were huge successes, once again furthering our mission to bring good people and good anime together. Stay tuned for September’s Picnic announcement.

Upcoming Events

• The 2022 Summer Anime season is here, and our next Anime Sampler happens this Saturday. Check out everything the new season has to offer and more!

• Meet with us both online and off. Out next Mixer will be online Thursday, August 5th. The following day, we'll be in-person for a gathering at our youngest local convention Anime Magic 2022!

Beyond AnimeChicago

• A new trailer for Makoto Shinkai's next film just dropped. Expect it to be pretty. Will it be good? We'll have to wait and see.

• Wanna bling out the other Sailor Moon fans in your life? How about these $13k crystal designer boots. Tuxedo Mask not included.
