Unbecoming to Age:

Is there anything more mockable than a millennial reaching their 30s and try to connect their personal history to the past as they age out of being cool?

Well, if so, it probably is not the most mockable thing about me and that changes on the daily and don’t @ me—I won’t tell you what is the most recent (most mockable thing about me.)

Yesterday and today have been blistering days so I’ve been escaping to my friend’s AC-cooled home and today, the power went out, so there was no real internet, battery drain, and a twitch to idle more, that I finished what I started:

And maybe I will make another post or write more about what it felt like to read and the connection I felt, but I don’t want this to be you can only be millennial, if “x!”

For me, it’s more about the collective events that can touch us, yet these events can be different depending on your geography or local conditions. It also reminded me how much I wish I ever understood #hashtagmillenial. A hash (#) and a tag (a wordtag) combine and hopefully the hashtag can be read across the entire site?

Anyway, I am officially twice-sixteen.

Existential Technology Pains:

With that, it’s really bad that a new “technology” has emerged, and this is my first, “I don’t like it! I hate it actually!”

Mostly I think this is due to how useless, how pandering, how trashy and unusable ai is, and maybe people felt this way about the computer or phone or internet or TV!

And you know what, we all are able to hate any technology you like, even if you liked previous one, I am just here because this about dysphoria and daily (ok not a daily newsletter but I feel dysphoria daily and that’s where the title comes from.)

So I am working out my demons, and I think part of is might be me shouting a hundred times I HATE AI AND I DO NOT HAVE TO GIVE YOU AN ENTIRE WORKS CITED FOR YOU TO TAKE ME SERIOUSLY.

They won’t even read them now.
