Daily! Dysphoria 4:

2026-07-30

(Let me star off by saying again, daily dysphoria is about things that cause me dysphoria daily not that this newsletter is daily, ok, I promise I will try to work more on being regular)

Dysphorias:

Because I sometime need to just throw out a list without writing paragraphs, here are bullet points of things that are making me feel dysphoric:

The fact that nothing is fun or it’s a lot harder for the internet in specific to be fun because it is riddled with oodles of generative artificial intelligence and while looking at a piss-yellow generated image is tiring enough, I for the love of me, only feel like my brain is shutting down when trying to read anything spouted out by ai, research or writing, it has no flow, no structure, no logic, it is a language devoid of meaning. This is in the addition that the development of our current AI in America is quite rotten. Epstein invested in AI heavily. Those who own the means of AI production have an inherently anti-leftist bent. What is the leftist use for something inherently anti-leftist?

Books

I have been trying to read more because the panic about people not reading makes me feel guilty for not reading. For a while I was trying to keep record of all the movies from the 1930s-1970s that I watch that were originally books. Anyway, so far in the mini gothic book club my friend and I are in, we have devoured Shirley Jacksons’s The Haunting of Hill House and most recently, Turn of the Screw by Henry James. Also after watching Wuthering Heights (1939), I think I want to read the book.

Things I am reading/Things I am thinking/Things I am Doing-Not Doing:

as always, I enjoy reading Pluralistic, and as always, I am always caught in between excitement and anxiety, but trying to slow down enough to see what I want to do next regarding my creative fulfillment.
