Time Flies
How is it already mid-June? How?
As I remarked to a friend the other day, I have just been ass over teakettle. And not in a bad way. But ooooof, too, ya know?
I did get to go to the beach the other day, which was a perfect day. I saw one turtle and two dolphins! Plus, there was ice cream afterward at a great shop. Small joys, etc.
Okay, let’s talk about some cool things.
Over the weekend—led by the incredible C.S.E. Cooney, Carlos Hernandez, and Liz Pino Sparks—I and a gaggle of lovely poets did a poetry reading benefiting Amnesty International!
You can watch the full video here! You can also kick in a few bucks to Amnesty International here. It was an absolute pleasure. The two poems I read were both originally published by Uncanny magazine and will appear in my forthcoming poetry collection, Offerings for Ordinary Gods, out July 21, 2026 from CLASH Books!
If you’re coming to book launch on July 21, 2026 (at Inkwood Books), I will have stickers to give away! And, possibly, some fun treats. (You can also preorder a signed/personalized copy from them! Email them if you’re outside the U.S., and they’ll get you sorted.)
If you’re in Philly on July 23, I’m part of a great panel at The Head and the Hand! You will need to register beforehand, but it’s gonna be a blast.
Also, if you do come to an event and we haven’t met in meat space before, please remind me of who you are and where we know each other from!
Until next time, kittens! XOXO
