VAMP (opera is dead) | Oct. 4, 2026 @ 3pm | Los Angeles, Pacific Opera Project HQ tickets ← this is a solo show I wrote, produced, and performed in my backyard in April and am reprising at Pacific Opera Project with Randall Bills, tenor, and Yumi Hashimoto, piano. It’s spooky, irreverent and… educational? I talk about vampires and sing Verdi & Olivia Rodrigo. Come if you’re nearby! And look out, VAMP may just be coming to a city near you 🧛‍♀️

For today’s post script, I wanted to let y’all know: I’m not tracking clicks and I’m pretty anti- “newsletter-as-content” (which is probably why former attempts have fizzled — RIP Substack 🪦). I don’t use LLMs to write my e-mails or any of my copy.

I never want anyone to have to engage with a data-mining, privacy nightmare of a social platform in order to hear from me, so even though I’m back on Instagram (trying to meet people where they’re at and maybe even get them to show up for an in-person, phone-free event!), and even though e-mails can be a slog, you’ll get anything you’d get on social media from me here (and likely more!).

AND you’ll get even more from me if I’m ever blessed by your presence at one of my performances, which is my sincere hope and life goal. ❤️
