Greetings, Wrecking Crew!

I hope this newsletter finds you well.

WFMU’s annual two-week fundraising marathon is just a few hours away from being over.
It was a lot of work, and also really fun.
I had two excellent co-hosts, Charlie and Uncle Michael, and I co-hosted for three of my favorite Drummer-stream siblings, Olleh, Irene, and Doug.

I also raised well over $2K to keep WFMU on the air for another year, and I did it because of YOU! Many thanks to everyone who pledged.

Meanwhile, in other news, I won’t be on the air tomorrow. I’m taking a much-needed break and I’m headed to the monastery. DJ Fleafella will be holding down the fort, but he’s not quite trained to do a show on his own.

Instead, one of WFMU’s newest DJs, dB, will fill in for me with his show, dB’s Analog Lounge. Not only will dB be filling in, he’ll also have a live guest in the studio! I’ll be back next week, March 23, with a regular kinda show.
I just bought a new turntable for the home stereo and I hooked it up last night. My tradition for breaking in new audio gear is to play Steely Dan. I listened to “Pretzel Logic,” so maybe I’ll play something from that LP next week. You’ll have to tune in and find out.

The following week (3/30) I welcome Official Bellows Falls Yacht Club bandleader (and member of Countermoon) Karl Ward for a live solo set and a buncha gabbing. Mark your calendars. It’s gonna be fun.
