Wreck Your Own Adventure Newsletter 1-11-26: Winter Fun!
Hi everyone! For some reason this didn't go out last night. Sorry!
Greetings, Wrecking Crew!
What are your favorite wintertime activities? Mine are pretty similar to my favorite summertime activities, except instead of drinking iced tea, these days I’m mostly sticking with hot tea.
Meanwhile…
Didja catch Charlie’s fill-in for me last week, “Busy Wrecking Records”? It was an all-vinyl show. I’m still listening to the entire thing, but the first half was pretty damn good. He even had Snack Time! Charlie not only ate an avocado on the air, he cut and prepared it! He has raised the bar. You can listen to that show here.
I’m back from my little holiday in New Jersey, and boy did I have a great time. I’ll fill you in on the details tomorrow morning during another exciting episode of my radio program, Wreck Your Own Adventure on WFMU’s Give the Drummer Radio. That’s where you’ll find me every Monday morning, 9 ‘til noon, unless I’m on my way to New Jersey or the monastery, or I’m ill.
None of those are happening tomorrow as far as I can tell, so I’ll be on the radio. You can tune in live here: https://wfmu.org/playlists/shows/160134
I recently realized you can tune in later using that link, too. How recently? Five seconds ago. I know. I’ve only been listening to WFMU for… uh… almost 40 years now. Listening online since… maybe 2000… and doing a show here for almost three years. Sometimes it takes me time to notice things.
But that’s not important now. What’s important is this: tomorrow I’ll play music and tell you stories and it will be fun. AND, I’ll debut a brand-new theme song from Official Bellows Falls Yacht Club Bandleader, Karl Ward. SO MANY reasons to tune in.
See you on the radio!
xo,
