That being said, I never talk about solo earning and solo living as if it's the unusual scenario and double incomes are the norm. I'm obnoxious about how I presume everyone is on a single income and how absolutely unusually lucky and rich and privileged you are if you are not.
Where I work, a lot of the employees are ten month (I'm twelve) and I say things like "Oh wow, I have to pay rent twelves months of the year, I have no idea how the ten-monthers do it!" and they look at me like I'm crazy.
