Our final session
As we reach our final session of this EcoNidra for Long Covid and Chronic Illness project, I just want to take a moment to congratulate you for all that this means.
We should all be proud of ourselves for practising the following:
Listening to our bodies
This is not something that we are generally taught or encouraged to do, so taking the time to try to engage more with our bodies is a hugely important act of self care. It's also not always easy to do when we live in bodies that are experiencing chronic pain and fatigue, so this is really amazing that you have done this.
Taking time to rest
Living in a capitalist society, we are certainly discouraged from rest. By reclaiming the importance (and hopefully some enjoyment) in a form of restorative rest, we have been engaging in some anticapitalist living - and that is pretty cool!
Being part of an amazing community
This community has been such a huge support to so many of us, and knowing that we are all practising in our different spaces at different times (and sometimes simultaneously too) has been a great comfort and a wonderful form of solidarity and community care. Thank you so much for being a part of this community.
Kindred Soil will have more events and programmes coming soon for anyone who would like to join - watch this space! 🌿🍄
