FAQs about the practice
What will happen during the session?
During the session you will be gently guided by Harriet through a meditation journey. These are usually around 40 minutes but will vary slightly from session to session.
We will take a three-part journey, reconnecting with our senses, our bodies and finally with nature. All of the guidance is invitational, so you can engage with whichever parts feel supportive and right for you.
What will I need for the practice?
Ideally a private and quiet space (but we know this isn't always possible!)
A comfy place to lie or sit down (this might be a bed, sofa, mat, chair)
You might like to have blankets and cushions to make yourself as comfy as possible
We also invite participants to practice with a nature partner - this just means choosing a nature object or being to 'partner with' so that you can feel more connected to, and supported by nature. (This can be anything you like - previous participants have used a plant, a rock, a shell, a feather, a pet, a tree outside the window...)
Can I connect with others doing this practice?
Yes you can!
We will share posts for each new recording on our instagram page . These will list a 'Community Practice' time, which is an invitation to join others who are practising at the same time (or similar - we aren't sticklers for time-keeping!). This way we can know that we are supported not only by nature, but by others in our community.
The Community Practice for Session 1 will take place on Monday 8th August at 2pm (UK time).
You can also use the posts as a space for discussion and connection with others - please do come along and get involved, we would love to hear from you! (If you don't have instagram we also have a facebook page)
