The Nottingham Cheese Riots sound funny - especially the visual of the mayor being knocked down by a runaway cheese wheel, but the anger and the hunger were real as poor harvests cranked up food prices.

Discuss the perspective of locals who didn’t want food to leave their locality - but it’s worth discussing too the perspective of out-of-town traders who had bought the cheese legally and then were prevented from leaving by angry locals.
