It would be an incredible life to rise from the Liberian 4th division to become the most feared striker in Europe and win the Ballon D’or - a vote for the best footballer in the world.

It would also be an incredible life to rise from the extreme poverty of a Liberian slum to become that country’s elected President.

It is thus a truly remarkable life that both of these things are true of George Weah, and he’s still only 60!

Discuss the life of George Weah and whether being top of one career can in any way prepare you for a completely different one.
