People's Town Hall Update - Volunteers, Event Details & More

Hello everyone,

The People's Town Hall is just over a week away, and we're excited to bring together candidates, community organizations, local media, and residents for an afternoon of conversation and civic engagement at Spokane Central Library.

Hosted by Spokane People's Calendar in partnership with Spokane Public Library, KYRS Community Radio, and other local organizations, the Town Hall will feature 17 congressional and state legislative candidates discussing the issues affecting our community ahead of the August primary.

We're Still Looking for Volunteers

We're still looking for a few volunteers to help make the event a success.

If you have a few hours available on Sunday, July 12, we'd greatly appreciate your help with setup, check-in, candidate support, childcare, cleanup, and other event roles.

Because this is a large event with many moving pieces, we're asking volunteers to sign up only if they're confident they can fulfill their shift.

Volunteer signup:

If you're unable to volunteer yourself, sharing the signup with someone who may be interested is also a huge help.

We hope you'll join us on Sunday, July 12, whether you're still getting to know the candidates, looking to connect with community organizations, or simply interested in learning more about the issues shaping Spokane's future.

Thank you to everyone who has volunteered, partnered with us, shared our events, and helped make this possible. We couldn't do it without you.

We'll send one more reminder as we get closer to the event.

In solidarity,

Michael Doyle
