Final Thoughts

During The Great Connection Nonprofit Summit hosted by CauseVox & The Trauma Informed Storytelling Cohort I attended last month, international organizations spoke about record levels of burnout, stress, and fatigue regardless of the field.

In fact, I didn't speak to anyone who wasn’t stressed out — a shift that speaks volumes for where humanity is at the moment.

The No. 1 factors? Global Events, Social Media & Screen Time.

We live in an age when the expectation is to be digitally plugged in at all times. Not only is this irresponsible, it’s simply impossible. Taking time to breathe and enjoy your life is not an indulgence. It’s a necessity to reset and recharge.

So make a priority this week to take downtime, visit with loved ones, and enjoy the shift in seasons. After all: If you don’t take care of YOU, who will?

— M.

May hope, peace & unity be with you.
