The Nocturneverse, The Raven’s Nest, Against All Odds, Magnusson Speaks

Listen, folks, all I really wanted to do was write and make cool shit for you. I was even happy to foot the bill on the books and materials and just bring you the findings as I get them.

I was happy to write stories about the experiences I had and share them with you, the purpose being, that you would apply the structure of study to your own faith and do the same, leaving the priest class (of which I’m included) out nearly entirely, depending on whether or not you felt that was something needed in your practice.

I was happy to offer it for free. I wanted to just give the info away. Substack in its former state allowed me to do that but in it’s current state, it’s not only untenable, it’s downright criminal.

Here’s the thing you need to know, the people annoyed with the people producing content that was completely A.I. generated got upset. They felt they’d been baited and switched and I can’t blame them for that but there are literally three things everyone can do; Block, Mute, Move the fuck on. That’s called…maturity and some of our parents taught us that.

Now we face a collective of people who weren’t don’t care about the consequences to me and you, damn that all, their word must be law! If you had any assistance, they want to know and they demand to know and you must, must, must tell them!

Heh, cute. Get Fucked.

So now, Substack has partnered with Pangram and assumes everyone is guilty until they prove themselves innocent, initially, by submitting to the scan (the attitude by action showing “You will allow this one way or the other”) until the blowback got so bad they went into damage control mode with “Oh now you can opt out…but it’s post-by-post.”

If it’s one thing I learned from the movie Speed it’s shoot the hostage.

That’s what I’ll be doing with Substack, shooting every hostage. Every article, every video, everything I’ve posted there, I’ll download and I’ll delete as I go until there’s only one article left. The one that tells you why I’m leaving, why I’m never coming back, where you can find me and that will be all. I won’t come in to read comments, I’ll already be redirecting everyone.

What Substack has done is allow Pangram a license to all of my work. I was not consulted. I was not asked for my consent. I’m not being compensated. That’s criminal and yes, sooner or later, if there’s a class-action lawsuit, my frothing-at-the-mouth ass will be there with legal axes drawn ready to Shield Wall some of their asses. Personally, I’m not good with settling for pennies, no, not if they’ve retained and intend to use what I wrote and built myself to sell and train their A.I.

…because of someone else’s suspicions.

That’s where this has gone, people. Call it what it is, Criminal. Pursue it this way. Put them into states of pants-shitting legal terror. I’m not joking. Start consulting with attorneys. They don’t seem interested in walking it back entirely. Damage control mode won’t work when, and this is key, you should be the only one paid for your work and that’s not up for negotiation, debate or discussion.

Magnusson Speaks will stay a newsletter for now, if I can’t afford to keep it up, it will fold, go quietly and that will be all.

I had a couple of manuscripts that I was working on, one for a game, the other for what would have been MindCraft: The Banishing Ritual For The Mind and because of the state of things (we still have purity spirals in publishing and I’m broke…self-publishing would be a waste of time for a book no one’s going to buy no matter how much it might benefit them) and both have been deleted and will never see the light of day. I think maybe a few people have an earlier incarnation of it from when I was using it but it’s gone…no more. I just stopped caring.

Now I have to pay to write, which is weird to me. All the ladders have been shaken and they’re pulled up. It’s a Just Us League and there’s no way around that…especially if you’re as broke as I am and barely affording the move you have to make just to keep some fucking integrity around here.
