A Quick Word or Two
Against All Odds - Magnusson Speaks - Substack Burning Down - Damage Control - Control In Extremis
This won’t be a long-winded email pontificating how much I despise the Anti-A.I. crowd. I view them in the same light as the past Evangelicals, the woke, the factions, etc.
They’re not like us and I will show you how that is later. I still despise them for costing me, which they have. Another point, another time.
Let’s get down to the heart of the matter. Against All Odds and Magnusson Speaks have been officially pulled from Substack entirely. They’re not there. The articles were all downloaded as PDFs and archived and then, both were unpublished.
At present, everything from the Magnusson Speaks substack is here on Buttondown for now. I’m going to make an attempt at self-hosting it and hope that perhaps it eliminates some overhead because I still do not want to charge for this. To me, it’s wrong, dead wrong and it would be me going back on my word to keep this free, which being on substack allowed me to do without worry.
That crowd robbed you and, if you’re still on Substack, you’re still being asked for “papers please” every time you post. That’s your work. You should be getting paid for that.
The fact of the matter is, Substack will not sell or share anything I write as long as I own that copyright without my permission, if they make any money off sharing my work, I get a cut. It’s my work. The copyright is already there.
Same goes for you. In my opinion, you should not have to put up with that.
In closing, The Raven’s Nest will be next. If you want to read the articles that I’ve pulled over, simply head to RavenWulfgar.com and you’ll see it. Likewise, you can still read Magnusson Speaks articles here on ButtonDown for now and even share them until I find a more stable home for this thing.
I also have a bunch of copies of Alexandria Selene’s books, ARC copies I was supposed to review and I have to find a way of posting those reviews without a ton of overhead hanging over it like the Sword of Damocles.
I know this is a newsletter but I’m still looking for any suggestions, comments, best practices, primarily in how I can set this up to where you have access to it instead of getting an email here there or whatever. Let me know!
Sincerely,
Rev. Dr. Raven “Magnusson” Wulfgar
