Your Title IX update, some trans joy, and 5,000 free items ๐Ÿ’œ

What changed for students, good news worth celebrating, and the dates to save for our biggest restock yet.

Hi QTP cutie,

Thereโ€™s been a lot to take in this week. Whether youโ€™re navigating school yourself, raising or supporting an LGBTQ+ student, or trying to understand what the Title IX headlines mean for our community, I want to help make the information a little clearer.

I also have some good news to share, because we deserve moments of joy alongside the updates we need to know. Keep reading for people showing up for our community, a tutorial you may have missed, and details about our largest restock yet: 5,000 free gender-affirming items coming November 17. ๐Ÿ’œ

Title IX: What LGBTQ+ students need to know

The federal rules that explicitly protected students from discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity have been formally removed after a court had already struck them down.

Students still have rights. Title IX continues to address sexual harassment and sexual assault in schools that receive federal funding. Some states also have their own protections for LGBTQ+ students.

Our guide explains what changed, where state protections exist, and steps you can take if something happens at school.

You deserve support and a clear explanation of your options. You do not have to figure out every rule before asking for help.

And for some good news this weekโ€ฆ

Here are a few bright spots from recent weeks that I wanted to share with you:

๐Ÿ’œ 988โ€™s โ€œPress 3โ€ services for LGBTQ+ youth are back. The specialized crisis support service resumed September 30 after being discontinued last year. This return follows sustained advocacy from people pushing for LGBTQ+ young people to have access to the support they deserve.

โœจ California strengthened protections against health insurance discrimination. A newly signed law explicitly includes gender identity protections. Itโ€™s a meaningful step toward coverage decisions grounded in care. See the good โ†’

๐Ÿ’„ NikkieTutorials is becoming the host of BBCโ€™s Glow Up. The trans makeup artist and YouTube favorite was announced in September as the next host, with her season set to air in 2027. More trans talent on our screens? Yes, please. Learn more โ†’

๐ŸŽถ Chappell Roan is putting support behind trans youth. Her upcoming two-night Super Graphic Spectacular benefit will support the Midwest Princess Project, which serves trans youth and LGBTQ+ communities. The event takes place October 21โ€“22 in Los Angeles. Find out more โ†’

People are showing up, creating opportunities, and investing in our futures. Those stories deserve space in our inboxes, too.

And, in more good news! Our largest restock yet: 5,000 free items

Here at QTP, weโ€™re preparing 5,000 free gender-affirming items for our largest restock yet!

๐Ÿ“… November 17
โฐ 8 p.m. Eastern / 5 p.m. Pacific

Save the date, set a reminder, and share it with someone who could use affirming gear. Weโ€™ll send more details and restock reminders as the date gets closer.

Early access applications reopen October 17

BIPOC and disabled community members can apply for limited priority access beginning October 17, one month before the restock.

If selected, youโ€™ll receive a code that lets you access the site early and shop before the general restock opens.

Priority access does not guarantee a kit or specific items. All available items are still first-come, first-served.

Applications are not open yet. Bookmark the form and return on October 17:

In case you missed it: Tucking Tips and Reminders

Our latest YouTube tutorial is ready when you are. Watch Tucking Tips and Reminders, save it to revisit, or share it with someone who might find it helpful.

You can also explore our tutorial collection for more ways to get familiar with gender-affirming gear at your own pace.

Thank you for being part of this community. Every shared resource helps someone find information, support, or something theyโ€™ve been looking for.

You deserve care, connection, and moments of joy. Iโ€™m glad youโ€™re here.

With love,
