WEST WALES WILD WATCH - April
Free wildlife recording sessions with West Wales Biodiversity Information Centre. A great way to discover the local wildlife.

One Million Steps for Welsh Wildlife
Josh the Wildlife Man is walking 1,000,000 steps in April — over 33,000 steps a day — to raise money for the Welsh Ornithological Society & Wild Cymru. Every step supports vital conservation work.

Allotment Planning Webinar
Get guidance on what needs planning permission and how to gain planning if required. Wednesday 29th April 2-3pm.
Preserving Botanical Specimens
Get tips and techniques for pressing botanical samples that can be contributed to a herbarium or collection or sent to a species referee for verification. Tuesday 28th April 7-8pm.
ACTIVITIES
Creative Writing/Poetry Workshop
An introduction to events at The Welsh Wildlife Centre, Cilgerran and how to watch wildlife followed by a creative writing/poetry workshop. Saturday 25 April 10.30am - 3.30pm. Free but booking essential at this email c.rogers@welshwildlife.org
Yoga sessions
Yoga sessions offered at Ynyslas Nature Hub Every Saturday morning for 6 weeks from Sunday 26 April 10-11am - £30 for 6 sessions or £7 per session. Advance booking is essential. 18+ See attached.
Springtime Foraging Works
Learn how to identify a range of species, where to find them, how to harvest them sustainably, their nutritional and medicinal properties in Dynyn on Wednesday 29th April 10am – 4pm. Sliding scale costs.

BioBlitz 2026 – Call for experts!
Denmark Farm Conservation Centre are hoping to run a BioBlitz with teams of volunteer scientists, families, students, teachers, and other community members working together to find and identify as many species of plants, animals, fungi, and other organisms as possible.  Are you mad about mosses, batty about birds, or intrigued by inverts…?   We’d love you go join us to host a small group of people looking for species.
