I meant to get one more newsletter out for June, but things just kind of got away from me (as they do), so let's kick off July right!

Personally, I didn't get to participate in anything really Pride-related, but I hope you did! If you'd like to follow that up with some Wrath, please be sure to watch your state's legislation for any upcoming anti-trans bills, because, unfortunately, there's a lot of that going around and we need to make sure they don't take root!

In other news, the start of a new month means it's time for last month's reading recap! Generating these graphics is one of my favorite things to do at the start of a new month. I know this looks like a month of a lot of books, but I have to add the caveat that seven were novellas at under 100 pages each! I also had a lot of catching up to do on ARCs (and still do, in fact), so I had quite a bit of focused reading time when I could fit it in.

As you can see, those novellas really brought down my 'average book length' stat. 😅 But, that’s okay, they certainly helped bump my pages read stat.

I would absolutely recommend any of my top three highest rated reads from last month! Foundling Fathers from Meg Elison just came out and is an absolute hilarious riot, but if spine-tingling horror is more your speed, consider starting the How to Survive Camping series from Bonnie Quinn, who actually started writing her tales on the /r/NoSleep subreddit!

I also strictly read fiction last month, which isn't unusual, but I really need to start picking up some of the non-fiction options on my never-ending TBR. I have a bunch on my immediate "to read" list, but, as I mentioned previously, I've fallen behind on my ARCs and need to finish with the books that were published in June, so I hopefully don't continue to be behind through July.
