Open house at College today! Plus Mother’s Day & courses begin this week

Hi everyone,

Today’s the day! Did we hire a babysitter for a Saturday date night and then spend yesterday evening putting finishing touches on the College Street space? No one knows! We’re so excited to welcome you to Hot Pizza’s new location at 1152 College Street today from 10–3. Come for art activities, some light refreshments, good music, and lots of friends, because HP is a community built by all of you!

See you soon,
Brian

Two spots remain to celebrate Mother’s Day with us

Our second annual Mother’s Day celebration is one of our favorite events of the year. Come to our Osler St. location for a watercolour class taught by the inimitable Sarah Aranha, a bouquet from local florist Pictus Goods, and treats by Great Canadian Baking Show contestant chi nguyễn hand-selected by food guru Laura Siperman. What do these collaborators have in common? They all run their own small businesses, and they’re all based here in the West End. We support local! This is a chance for mothers—defined in the broadest sense—to come together in joyful creation. You’ll leave with a full spirit (and belly), your artwork, and a beautiful bouquet.

May–June courses begin this week!

When not renovating, we’ve been madly processing course registrations and sending out info! We’re excited to welcome back old friends and make new ones when the new semester of our after-school and evening courses begins tomorrow!

There’s still time to sign up for Osler St. offerings like United Imaginations (back by popular demand) and XL Comics, or to try something new with our Outside or Dungeons & Dragons studios.

For adults, we’re running it back with Kelly Rose Adams teaching oil painting again.

If you’re closer to College Street, your kids can try Deep Dish and XL Comics; our old favourite, Analog & Digital Animation; and a new interdisciplinary course, Animalia, that bridges observation and imagination.
