Finance Reform
- Read-up on Lax payday loan regulations could hit older Americans especially hard and Trump administration proposes ditching payday rule, handing victory to industry.
- Comment on Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s proposed rule to rescind a rule that was “set to go into effect later this year [..requiring] payday lenders to assess a borrower's ability to pay back a loan.” The proposed rule would no longer require payday lenders to assess a borrower's ability to pay back a loan. Public comments end May 15, 2019.
