- Contact Assemblymember Waldron and ask her to vote yes on AB-2103 which requires a minimum of 8 hours live training to get a concealed carry permit; current policy only specified between 1-16 hours. The bill passed the Committees for Appropriations and Public Safety, and is up for a 3rd reading on the floor. See CA StateStrong Newsletter.

- Read-up on Dozens protest for and against Escondido council's sanctuary city vote, Escondido votes to support Trump's suit against state's sanctuary laws, Escondido Council Vote 4-1 In Favor Of Supporting Trump's Sanctuary Lawsuit and Council supports fed lawsuit against 'sanctuary state'.
- Contact Mayor Abed and the City Council and let them know that you’re disappointed by their voting to join AG Sessions’ lawsuit against California over our sanctuary state policies.
Wednesday
- Read-up on After Stephon Clark shooting, California lawmakers push to make it easier to prosecute police officers, California lawmakers seek change in police lethal force standard and California lawmakers challenge deadly force standard after Sacramento police shooting.
- Contact Assemblymember Waldron and ask her to vote yes on Police Accountability and Community Protection Act which changes “the current use of firearms by police from a “reasonable force” rule to a “necessary force" standard.”
Thursday
- Read-up on SD Students Host "Town Hall for Our Lives" at Westview HS.
- Contact Rep. Hunter and ask him to support legislation to prevent gun violence, such as funding for gun safety education, tighter background check and registration for gun purchases, banning bump stock accessories. See Support the March for Our Lives and Act to End Gun Violence. Note: Rep. Hunter has received $41,087 from the NRA as of end of 2017.
Friday
