- Contact Board of Supervisors Chairwoman Gaspar and express disappointment about her vote to join AG Sessions’ lawsuit against California over our sanctuary state policies to the public.
Wednesday
- Contact Assemblymember Waldron and express disappointment at her no vote for AB-3131 in the Assembly Local Government Committee on April 18. Ask her to vote yes on AB-3131, which provides for public transparency and local government approval before police can acquire military weaponry, when it comes to a vote on the floor assembly. - Contact State Senator Anderson and express disappointment at his no vote for SB-1421 in the Senate Public Safety Committee on April 17. Ask him to vote yes on SB-142 when it comes to a vote on the floor assembly. SB-142 requires “law enforcement agencies to give the public access to records related to: (1) Discharge of a firearm, or use force that results in death or serious bodily injury; (2) Proven on-the-job sexual assault, including coercion or exchanging sex for lenience, or (3) Proven dishonesty in reporting, investigating, or prosecuting a crime.” SB-142 is now headed to the Senate Appropriations Committee. Thursday
- Read-up on For The Second Time, San Diego Students Walk Out Against Gun Violence and All of these people have died in school shootings since Columbine. Enough.
- Contact State Senator Anderson and ask him to vote yes on SB-1100 which “raises the age to 21 for all gun purchases and prevents more than one gun purchase per month”. He voted no on SB-1100 in the Senate Public Safety Committee on April 17.
Friday
- Contact Rep. Hunter and ask him to support H.R.5476 (Special Counsel Independence and Integrity Act) which limits the removal of a special counsel. See Protect Mueller and the Russia Investigation.
- Contact Senator Feinstein & Harris and ask them to support S.2644 (Special Counsel Independence and Integrity Act) which limits the removal of a special counsel. See Protect Mueller and the Russia Investigation - Cmte Vote Next Week.
