One Last Glorious Nerezia Cover

Come witness the glory that is the Fragmented cover!

It’s that wonderful time of the year! The very last time for it, for a good good while: a new Nerezia cover reveal.

So here it is. The cover for Fragmented, the ninth Nerezia novella, done by the ever-incredible Eva I.

Cover for Fragmented, The Chronicles of Nerezia #9, with the title the bold letters at the bottom. It depicts a dark-skinned androgynous person stuck in a hexagonal shape that shines pink and is wrapped in roots. In front of them is a person of with yellow clothes and curly hair keeping eir arms spread out in defence. Multiple iridescent tears spread across the cover, too.

Look! At! It! I’m so in love with the pinks and bits of blue, with the dramatic feel of it, with Horace’s expression… all of it. No need to be concerned about Horace’s weird shadow, though. It’s all fiiiine.

Here is the official blurb for Fragmented.

Fate and friendship brought the Wagon Crew together in Rumi's sentient, self-propelling wagon. They have travelled across Nerezia, a world haunted by jagged shards that possess people, to unravel the mystery behind Aliyah’s existence—and now they know.

Once, in a time long forgotten, a power ritual ripped stories out of people all across Nerezia, coalescing their power into the body of prophesized Hero—Aliyah—only for it to shatter, casting Fragments out into the world. Now, centuries later, Archivist Neomi intends to conduct the ritual again. Desperate to stop it, the Wagon Crew must traverse an underground complex fraught with ancient traps and broken machines, and as Neomi gathers power to themselves, the very fabric of reality begins to unravel.

Their story has become Nerezia’s… and it will irremediably change them both.

Fragmented releases October 9. It will be coming three years after my initial Kickstarter to get this series off the ground. Wild to think I pulled through!

Preorder Now

And with this cover, we also have all of Disc One. If you’ve been around for a bit, you know that all of Nerezia’s covers can be put side by side to form a continuous canvas. And, at the risk of repeating myself… we have all of them now! We have the full thing! So please enjoy the full Chronicles of Nerezia Disc One: Fragments.

A spread of eight cover images that form one continuous canvas. The scenery goes from a red-sand desert (Awakenings) to a lush river valley (Flooded Secret), to a sea-side city (The Sea Spirit Festival), to a whirlpool in the water surrounded by a golden kraken (Stories from the Deep), to a beautifully carved stone corridor with etchings on the wall (Motes of Inspiration), to ruins of stone bathed in deep pink moonlight (Ruined History), to a grey marsh with an abandoned monastery covered in blue flowers (Lost Traditions), to a a lush forest with a massive tree cleanly sliced in two (Tangled Past), and finally to an interior place with a bright pink hexagonal shape wrapped in root with a dark-skinned person in it (Fragmented)

This is all for today! I will be celebrating my release at Can*Con with a fun little conversation about planning a series over nine novellas like this! More details next newsletter, but if you plan being in Ottawa around mid October… Come!!
