The inaugural 27:4 newsletter and video features a practical topic: The problem of seed storage. Many solutions have been proposed, and most of them are annoying to work with. Feel free to skip the rest and go straight to the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qF0R0thLb8
Seeds come in many shapes and sizes, from tiny Melissa seeds to enormous mango pits. While my method won't be very useful for larger seeds, it's the best solution I've found for seeds of ordinary sizes. The bags can be sealed, or left open to make them breathable, or paper bags can be substituted for plastic.
Materials needed:
- Index card boxes
- Index cards of the right size for your boxes
- Plastic (or paper) bags of about the same size as your note cards
- Stapler
- Writing utensil
