2 — A World of Uncertainty. Choosing Freedom Anyway.
The economy feels uneasy — AI layoffs, housing market signals, and growing uncertainty. And yet, I still don’t regret leaving my company.

🇹🇭 Moments with Me
Last week was my daughter’s Sports Day in her school, so I went to watch.
One of the small joys of having a bit more freedom now is being able to attend family events like this without worrying about a boss or asking for permission.
The Sports Day had several events like running races and soccer.
My daughter was in the soccer group. But only the final match was played that day.
Her team had already lost earlier last week, so I missed her game 😂😢
Still, the three of us — my daughter, my wife, and I — had a really nice time together.
And being able to look at my daughter and promise, with a smile, “From now on, I’ll be at every event.”
That moment meant a lot to me.
It’s strange to realize that something so simple used to be so difficult during my years working in a company.
For now, I just want to appreciate the present — and keep moving forward humbly, doing my best to protect this life we’ve built.

By the way, my wife’s Japanese-style curry rice is incredible 🍛 It’s inexpensive and so good I could eat it every day.
✍️ What’s Happening
The global economy feels uneasy.
Trade tensions in the U.S., tariff policies, and the rapid rise of AI are all adding to the uncertainty.
According to a post shared by Jack Dorsey, Block, the fintech company he leads, is moving toward a smaller and flatter organization.
Reports suggest the company is going through significant layoffs as it restructures.
At the same time, Block seems to be accelerating its shift toward AI — building intelligence tools like Goose and reorganizing around them 🤖
So in that sense, the restructuring isn’t entirely surprising.
What is striking, though, is that the company’s stock price reportedly rose after the layoffs.
There’s something deeply ironic about markets rewarding job cuts.
It makes me wonder:
What does it mean today for a human to work inside a single company?
Looking back at my own situation, the company I used to work for was an automotive parts manufacturer.
Businesses like that probably won’t disappear overnight the way some tech companies might.
In fact, because it was a long-established manufacturer producing specialized components — and relatively slow to adopt modern IT — I might have had a stable position there for another decade.
And yet, I don’t regret leaving even a little.
No one knows what the future will look like.
But at least now, every day feels like I’m living by choices I make myself.
In my previous environment, I honestly never felt that way.
Another small signal caught my attention recently.
According to Google Trends data shared by Barchart, searches for “Can’t sell home” have reached their highest level on record 🏠
Of course, Google Trends shows a relative search index, so this alone doesn’t prove the actual state of the housing market.
Still, it’s true that higher mortgage rates in the U.S. have slowed housing transactions.
Some analysts say sellers are increasing while buyers are declining, causing activity in the market to stall.
Signals like this make me wonder whether economic weakness might be spreading into the real economy.
Many experts say this isn’t likely to become another 2008-style financial crisis.
But I still hope the world can avoid another major wave of financial instability.
💻 Work & Projects
About a week has passed since I started running Meta ads to generate leads for my AI school.
I’m already seeing a few early results, although the numbers are still small.
For now, Meta’s AI is likely still testing different audiences and creatives to find what works best, so I’ll give it a little more time.
Meanwhile, I’ve also started building a website focused on travel information about Australia.

I actually have a trip planned to Sydney and Cairns this April, so I’ve begun preparing the site little by little.
After the trip, I plan to add full travel stories and guides.
It probably won’t generate results right away.
But by strengthening SEO — and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), I believe it could become a solid long-term source of income.
And to be honest, I’m simply excited about the trip itself.
I can’t wait for Australia 🇦🇺
⚡️ Bitcoin Notes of the Week
It hasn’t received as much attention as wallets like Wallet of Satoshi, but recently I’ve been quite impressed with a Lightning wallet called Neutron.
The team appears to have a strong presence in Southeast Asia, particularly in markets like Vietnam — and even here in Thailand.
What I find especially interesting is how actively they keep experimenting with new ideas and infrastructure.
Recently, they’ve been working on Lightning infrastructure combined with APIs and MCP designed for AI agents.
That direction alone makes them a company worth watching.
If you’re curious about the technical side, you can explore their API here: https://llms.neutron.me
🤖 AI Notes of the Week
Recently, a post went somewhat viral in Japan on X.
The idea was simple: “What if certain famous Japanese celebrities had been born in different countries?”
Using generative AI, the creator produced videos imagining how well-known Japanese stars might look if they had grown up somewhere else in the world.
It’s genuinely astonishing how far things have come — with AI, almost anything can now be created in the digital realm.
At the same time, when technology reaches this level, it also makes you wonder whether the value of what is not AI will become more visible again.
Of course, I’ll continue following developments in AI closely.
At the same time, the value of studying the humanities may only grow in an AI-driven world.
🤔 Closing Thoughts

🤔 Closing Thoughts
Last week, immigration officers came to visit our home.
Since I left my job and needed to switch my visa, they wanted to confirm that I actually live here with my family.
They were quite thorough — even interviewing a third-party witness who isn’t a relative.
When I was working at a company, things were very different.
The company acted as a sponsor, and staff handled most of the paperwork and procedures.
But once you step outside that system, you have to deal with everything yourself.
In moments like this, you realize how vulnerable an individual can be — especially as a foreigner.
This wasn’t my first time going through the process.
Once again, my wife handled everything — from preparing the documents to accompanying me.
Thank you, as always.
I love you!
