Welcome everyone, and hi to new subscribers. In addition to Sunday posts that arrive at 6pm Pacific, there are occasional Glovebox or Mini-Interviews that might appear mid-week. If you use the Substack app (free, easy, I use it myself), you won’t be bothered by extra emails in your inbox—you’ll just see new posts populate in the app.
In June Mommy’s El Camino will host our first ever FRONT SEAT OFFICE HOURS, an hour in which paid subscribers are invited to meet over Zoom with me. The first 10-15 minutes will be a welcome and Q & A, with the rest of the time spent quietly co-working: writing, creating, reading—camera off or on. Consider a paid subscription so you don’t miss it!
On May 16th, I turn a half-century-years-old. Century makes me think of centaur, and I am a Sagittarius rising, so it feels applicable. Someone, I can’t remember who, once said something to the effect of, if you grow more into your rising sign as you age, you’re doing well. I was never a horse girl, but maybe I’m a half-horse woman. On top of that, I’m a Taurus sun born in the year of the Ox. I’m solid like that.
