i have been collecting too many "ideas" formally, leading to idea overwhelm. and so i acquired a "commonplace book", a blank notebook, a little place to write down passing thoughts, observations, silly things, joyful things. it's tiny so it fits in a coat pocket, i can take it on walks, and carry it in my small handbag. it feels kinda nice.
