First conversations with beta readers
Hello out there!
Thanks to everyone who's expressed interest in our upcoming book. We've been busy since the initial announcement on Twitter, and it's about time we gave you all an update!
First conversations with beta readers
Over the past two weeks, we've started having conversations with our first beta readers. These have been really insightful — we've learned lots about why people are interested in learning WebAssembly, and what they're planning on doing with it.
For those of you who offered to be a beta reader, but haven't heard back from us yet: don't worry, we'll get in touch soon. We've already learned lots from this first round of feedback, which means that the version you'll see should already be substantially better.
An interactive interpreter for the Wasm spec
Another fun thing to share — Mariano has been working on an interactive interpreter for the Wasm spec:

And finally, a reminder: you should follow @wasmgroundup on Twitter or Mastodon if you haven't already. In addition to regular updates about the book, we'll also be sharing WebAssembly-related things that tickle our fancy.
Wasm tidbits
- Tangle: a new library that automatically 'entangles' and syncs WebAssembly
- The Tail call extension is now shipping (behind a flag) in Chrome dev builds
- Javy: A JavaScript to WebAssembly toolchain from Shopify
Until next time,
Patrick & Mariano
