Hunt: Showdown's Blood Testament Adds a Blood Moon and a Trait-Stealing Perk

Crytek launched Hunt: Showdown 1896 Update 2.9, Blood Testament, on September 8 across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. It runs a three-stage community event called Make Them Bleed and adds Siphon, a Burn Trait that lets you loot a Scarce Trait off a dead hunter. The update also raises Hunter slots from 75 to 100, lets you save Traits inside loadouts, adds a new weapon and a dynamic time of day, and changes several maps. The event runs to December 8.

Player impact: Saved loadouts and 100 hunter slots cut the setup grind before every match. Siphon changes fights, since killing a loaded enemy now hands you their best perk, so third-partying pays more than ever.

Tarkov's 1.1.5.0 Rebuilds Lighthouse and Reshuffles the Lightkeeper Grind

Battlestate Games released Escape from Tarkov patch 1.1.5.0 on September 8. It reworks the Lighthouse map and changes the Lightkeeper questline, the endgame trader tied to some of the game's best rewards. Battlestate also confirmed the next update, 1.2.0.0, lands in late September or early October with a PvE focus: smarter bot AI, prestige, and raid reconnection. The current Kord Breach season runs until December 7.

Player impact: If you grind Lightkeeper, relearn Lighthouse routes and extracts now before rivals do. PvE players get a real reason to hold big pushes until 1.2.0.0 lands next month.

Marvel Rivals Season 10 Adds Gorr and Nerfs Two-Thirds of the Roster on September 11

NetEase detailed Marvel Rivals Season 10, which goes live September 11. It adds Gorr the God Butcher as the 54th hero, a Duelist, and touches balance on more than 70 percent of the roster. Magneto, The Thing, and The Hood all lose survivability and damage, while Captain America gains base health. Every full season also drops your rank six divisions, so competitive players reset hard. New maps and events follow across the September 17 and 24 updates.

Player impact: A six-division rank drop means grinders start the climb over on September 11, so bank your current rank rewards now. If you main Magneto or The Hood, expect your win rate to dip after the nerfs.

BULKHEAD's Large-Scale Shooter WARDOGS Hits Steam Early Access September 10

WARDOGS, a large-scale tactical FPS from BULKHEAD, enters Steam early access on September 10 after an open beta that ran September 3 to 6. It combines infantry combat, vehicles, logistics, base building, and destructible environments on big maps. BULKHEAD, the studio behind the FPS Games Show, ran the beta directly ahead of this paid early access debut.

Player impact: If you liked the beta, the early access build is a smaller buy-in this week than a full-price launch. Squad players get a Battlefield-style sandbox to test before committing.

Valheim Hits 1.0 With the Deep North and Its First PS5 and Switch 2 Release

Iron Gate's Viking survival game Valheim left early access on September 9, more than five years after its 2021 debut. The 1.0 launch adds the Deep North, a frozen endgame biome with new enemies, weapons, and build pieces. It is also Valheim's first day on PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2, joining PC and Xbox, with full crossplay between every platform.

Player impact: Crossplay means your PC and console friends can finally share one world. If you bounced off Valheim years ago, the Deep North gives long-time survivors a fresh endgame to chase.
