MEETING COMICS

8/9

I have, in fact, continued on with NO RACCOONS IN HELL. Since my last email newsletter, I’ve posted two more pages at my patreon. Here are preview panels for both of them:

A panel from page 8 of NO RACCOONS IN HELL part two. A sparse crowd is watching a band perform inside a warehouse space. The lyrics being sung are, "HOW DO YOU GET TO CARNEGIE HALL? HOW DO YOU GET TO CARNEGIE HALL? HOW DO YOU GET TO CARNEGIE HALL? WORK THE SHAFT AND LICK THE BALLS!"
A panel from NO RACCOONS IN HELL. The refrigerator door in Fort Satan is open, and Val's stepping into it. She says, "Come on... maybe we can find another way into that room the big goofball is watching." Tori says, "You think so?"

DIARY

Here’s a new diary comic!

A diary comic. I am walking in the woods.
Narration: I tried to leave my phone inside when I exercise in the woods out back. I frequently failed to do so. This helps me be more present in the moment (a closeup of my face as I say "haha a bird"). More narration: I kind of wished I'd had my phone when I saw a deer saying hello to baby Doll the cat (a drawing of baby doll the cat sitting on a bench in the woods with a deer very near to her).
I continue to walk in the woods and look at baby doll the cat and the deer. Narration: having said that, it was probably better this way. I think it will mean more as a memory than as a piece of "content." ... Plus if I'd had my phone, would I even have seen it (I am looking at my phone and saying "haha a bird" as I walk right by babydoll the cat in the deer)?

The very next day something else happened in the woods, and that time I went back into the house for my camera.

There is a tiny little baby deer that has tucked itself in near the path behind my house. I know it is okay because I saw it walking around and eating before it cuddled down. It's not a heck of a lot bigger than a large house cat.

MOUNTAINS

Here’s a promo image for a zine fest that I drew four years ago, but without the zine fest info because I like it!

A drawing of Ellie and Tina from Meeting Comics. They are holding hands and watching the sun set behind mountains.

I hope you’re all doing OK. Take care!

Thanks for reading!
