25. sometimes pattern recognition makes me insane

but insanity is pretty normal these days, right?

cw: i’m talking epstein this week

hey y’all,

what a week. something about how utterly bat shit this all is has me wading peacefully through a nihilistic absurdist period of my life. i’m newly unshackled by any expectations of how i should move through the world, because of how transparently unjust the world is. i can’t be doing it worse than the president who shit himself on TV after being asked if he’d raped and murdered little girls.

the thing about being a lifelong scholar of colonization, imperialism, and genocide is that you stop being surprised by any of it. i’ve been in the archives of amsterdam’s largest public library, pouring over primary sources of trans victims of the holocaust who were never liberated, and instead transferred to soviet prison camps. i’ve watched “exterminate all the brutes” more than once. i am not surprised by what is happening now, but i am newly effected in a way that is liberating. i trust what i’m seeing, and i will not be convinced by the falsehoods of these false prophets.

i’m hoping to make this stream of consciousness track i’m on digestible, but i thank you in advance for humoring me. a new FBI document released with the epstein files indicates epstein was a spy for mossad. british investigative journalism outlet “going underground” has been interviewing an alleged ex-israeli spy and political agitator over the last few years, and the emergent narrative is that epstein was, in fact, an israeli intelligence endeavor designed to turn billionaires and western politicians into israeli assets.

sounds crazy, right? sounds like QANON shit? this ex-spy spoke up again recently, and a colleague of mine reshared the clip on linkedin where he details just how deep the epstein river runs. as one commenter pointed out, i hardly agree that this is blackmail. the richest and most powerful people in the world made choices to get them what they want and to enable them to act with impunity. you will not get me to say that elon musk and bill gates are victims.

what is pertinent to me is how imperialism sustains itself at any cost. at the cost of your children, at the cost of liberty, at the cost of sovereignty, at the cost of dignity. and we should stop acting like we don’t know that, intrinsically. whether you find this spy to be a credible source of information, or not, what he is saying is not that far fetched when viewed through the lens of white, european history.

all the kings of ages past who we casually enjoy dramatized serials about, and read about in the tabloids, married little girls and impregnated them. sometimes their own nieces or cousins. charlamagne’s wife was only 13, and bore him 9 sons. catherine howard was executed at 17 after a lifetime of rape and torture by men twice her age.

the united states only exists because the british monarchy pushed its own people too hard on its own soil, and instead of choosing to take up arms against the crown with the rest of the united kingdom, the puritans charted the seas for new horizons.

queen victoria suppressed revolution a century later. queen elizabeth ii sided with the tories a century after that, after protecting her nazi uncle from the gallows. her son has now been photographed slovenly hovering over a teenage girl, and has been stripped of his titles and land. not because the crown believes what he did was wrong, but because it must sustain and protect itself, even at the cost of its own flesh and blood.

do you get what i’m saying? these people all know each other, and have known each other for thousands of years. they have been conspiring and colluding and playing with your very lives since the 13th century, when king edward i conquered the western principality of wales, claiming it as a territory of england. the propaganda machine has been hard at work since the palace of versailles.

i’m sure you’ve heard the justification that people didn’t live as long, so they married younger, and times were just different then, and we can’t look at it through the modern lens. but the kings and queens of old lived twice as long as their subjects. in medieval england, the average age of a peasant was 23 years old. king henry viii lived to be 55, and “enjoyed” 6 wives. joining the monarchy with the church was a deliberate act to prevent their reigns from ever ending. the people of england sustain the royal family with their taxes to this very day, for who can challenge god himself?

god, these days, is viral celebrity. there is no difference between trump and charles. there is no difference between ivanka and kate. catherine of france wrote the playbook on making a lavish spectacle of your fineries so your subjects love their king. for if they love him, they will never rise against him. revolution came for her too, in the end, but there are monarchists in france to this day.

it is not a conspiracy to acknowledge that generations of a very few rich and powerful people have been killing your ancestors and your children across multiple centuries and geographies to stay rich and powerful. they raised their kids together and promised them a life of impunity. they vacationed together on islands they stole from indigenous people across all of the oceans. they went to war with each other, leaving their soldiers to die while they dined over expensive wine and cheese in private.

they do not want to share with you, and they never will. there is no seat waiting for you at their table. there is no level that they will not stoop to maintain their holdings, their resources, their autonomy, and their land. they will kidnap and sell children to the sick and perverse in exchange for helping overthrow multiple sovereign nations. they will install a dictator and seize control of the courts to prevent having to face any consequences for rape and murder and torture.

they will enslave people across multiple continents and sell them to plantation owners in exchange for a percentage of the profits. they will not stop until they are marched upon, and then they will wash their hands of it and bide their time until collective amnesia sets in again.

if i make a mistake on my taxes, i’ll go to jail. if i jaywalk in some jurisdictions, i’ll be fined. if i try to go to the grocery store and i happen to forget my passport, i’ll be shot point blank in the head in broad daylight. empire is violent. it delights in its violence while calling us savages. it makes no attempt to hide it from you. it hopes that you idolize it enough to look the other way. it hopes that you want a piece of their pie badly enough that you will police your neighbor for a chance at the recipe.

when will we begin to know each other? when will you see the working man sitting across from you on the bus as yourself? you are not royalty, and neither am i. i thank whatever god may exist out there that i don’t have the moral center of the ruling class. i am sharing all of this with you because we have to keep the record. we don’t have to marinate in it all the time, but we have to be truth keepers and truth seekers. we have to preserve history, no matter how vile that history is.

we have to be okay with being deeply uncomfortable. it is absolutely necessary.

no hugs and kisses this week, just an ask to bear witness with me.
