Hello from the late afternoon hours,

Since grieving my baby dog Muskoka, I've been aching for a new place on the internet to pour myself into.

A new project, distraction, focus.

A new little corner for myself online.

I’ve been on Bearblog since August 2022. Four years of blogging! I love the community there, and enjoy hearing from all my fav bloggers.

But I feel like I need a new space. A new start? Maybe not forever, but for now this feels good.

I’ve been poking around here on Buttondown and I really like it so far! Everything seems easy to navigate, and the writing editor is a pleasure to use.

lately

• going on long walks around K’s neighborhood by myself during the day and at night with my sister and her dog Gambit <3

• pulling cards and doing a lot of journaling around grief, loss, and life direction

• calling numerous clean-up crew companies to deal with my apartment, which is covered in cement dust

• going for breaky with my sis

• reading Hemlock & Silver by T. Kingfisher

• watching S2 of Supernatural (first time watch!)

• reaching out to friends even though i want to hide out

Tonight K and I are going out for a little bite to eat on a sunny patio. Looking forward to having a glass of wine and chitchatting about our day.
