On my recent foray onto the other side of the social media, twitter, I came across a bunch of funded AI startups that are doing a different kind of launch videos. It is probably related to the marketing agency they hired, or just the trend these days. But since I haven’t been exposed to video ads in a while, it made me stop and appreciate the creativity behind these. Here are a few,

Now, to say that I don’t like the idea of either one of these would be an understatement. It is interesting though that they have built ads that feel human and which people would watch.

Talking of ads, here is one for polymarket that I found being promoted by a tech-brogirl. An gambling app that is only legal-ish because of the current pro-gambling US administration, and where young, impressionable people are losing money they don’t have.

There are real people asking ‘how can one not be on Elon’s side in all of this’ on that platform. It is wild!

It has been 6 months since I started this weekly newsletter and I am quite happy how it has become a regular part of my life. It has helped me improve the writing muscle, read and explore tech topics/projects much more than I used to, and pay attention to my surroundings when I am outside in order to find a good photo somewhere.

On this milestone, I am adding a new section for books where I will share mostly fiction books that I want to read, or have read. I would also encourage the readers to send in their suggestions so we can share from a bigger pool of books.
