Small businesses that don't suck...
All of my blog posts, newsletters, and 1-1 emails are written by me — em dashes and all! If you wanna know how I use AI in my business, click here.
Happy Small Business Saturday, folks!
I wanted to take a moment to highlight some of the people I’ve worked with (and for) this year who I think you’ll love too.
I participated in a group coaching program with Leo of Queer & Trans Wealth earlier this year after finding their stuff on Instagram. Leo takes an anti-capitalist approach to personal finance and has seen me ugly cry over my credit score. Could not recommend him more highly.
Leo recently launched THE PAY IT FORWARD FUND 💸 in response to the 2024 election. They will be providing financial coaching scholarships for people who live in states that have passed or introduced anti-trans legislation.
If you’d like to donate to the fund, click here.

Sophia Bayly is a style consultant who helped me get out of a closet rut over the summer. Tbh, my body has changed a lot over the years and I was lacking confidence (and excitement) in myself and my wardrobe.
Sophia helped me define my style pillars and created a beautiful, customized style guide for me (which I have been using as I’ve scooped up some Black Friday deals this month!)
She was there for me via Whatsapp when a friend invited me to the VMAs back in September — I had less than a week to put together an outfit (and who knows if I’d have the courage to wear see-through pants without her lol).
Lindsay Mack is an intuitive Tarot teacher I started doing admin & tech support for last month. They are truly a dream to work with! I started getting into Tarot during the pandemic back in 2020 and it was such a balm for me, and continues to be in times of need.
We just opened the doors for The Threshold, an offering centered around the invitations and energies of 2025, covering all that these Tarot energies will be inviting us into, and how to best work with them in the coming cycle. It’s a self-paced resource but we are hosting a two-hour ritual, connection, and Q&A call with Lindsay on December 14th, 2-4pm PST!
They are also on Substack:
Jenni Gritters is a small business superstar! I joined her team back in August to provide ops support. I’ve met a lot of folks over the years who preach about abundance and women supporting women but behind the scenes don’t actually walk the talk. Not Jenni. She is the real. deal.
She’s hosting another round of business support pods this winter, which will have a special focus on auditing your business: looking at what worked well (and what felt challenging) in 2024, and moving toward 2025 with intention. Learn more here
She is also on Substack:
This is not the first time I’ve talked about Amanda Laird in this newsletter! She recently told me I was one of her top referral sources this year (what can I say, I’m a professional fangirl lol).
Amanda’s approach to marketing has been a breath of fresh air. I started my career in digital marketing and felt really resistant to it because of that. I’m slowly (and steadily 😉) beginning to enjoy marketing my business while doing it more strategically — in part thanks to Amanda!
She’s hosting her final, free “Just Enough” session of the year on December 12th. Register here
And finally, ME!!!
I’m hosting my first (and last) workshop of the year on MONDAY! It’s all about prioritizing our tasks for the final month of the year. If you’re feeling overwhelmed or frozen by the rest of your to-dos in 2024, I encourage you to join us! A replay will be provided for those who can’t make it live.
Tickets are $8.
Got a small business you want to shout out (either yours or someone else’s)?? Drop a note in the comments!
Love ya
xoxoxo Andrea
