I know an open tab hates to see me coming...
How I stay organized with Arc
All of my blog posts, newsletters, and 1-1 emails are written by me — em dashes and all! If you wanna know how I use AI in my business, click here.
What better way to avoid election anxiety than to switch to a better internet browser!
I started using Arc as my primary browser about a year and a half ago and I’ve never looked back. It is That Bitch.
I decided to do an overview of Arc because — look at me — friends don’t let friends suffer through use Chrome.
Here’s why I love it:
It keeps my client work and personal projects organized/compartmentalized
It’s highly visual/customizable
It has AI features that are actually helpful (like renaming downloads and tidying up tabs)
You can fully import all of your data from Chrome to Arc in less than 5 seconds when you download it.
Arc may be fab for you if:
You’re an EA or VA managing multiple clients/inboxes
You’re managing a lot of different projects happening at the same time
You’re a writer or journalist who wants to keep all of your notes and research organized
Your computer is on the verge of blowing up at any given moment due to all of the tabs you have open at any given time
How I stay organized in Arc:
💻 Spaces
If you, like me, have multiple clients/projects/interests you’re working with, having a space for each individual subject can be a game changer. I have a “Space” for every retainer client, one for Type C operations, and one for personal stuff.
Each Space can be a different color and emoji. This helps my brain compute when we’re switching gears and focusing on a different client or task throughout the day.
Toggle between Spaces to reveal a new sidebar color and customized bookmarks
📌 Pinned Tabs by Space
In each Space, I have my pinned tabs. These are like bookmarks. I pin my most-used pages within each Space; because they’re organized by client, each bookmark list is short, making it easy to find the things I need.
🗒️ Pinned Pages
Unlike pinned tabs, pinned pages can be accessed across all Spaces, pinned conveniently at the top of the side bar in your browser. This is where I pin my Gmail, GCal, Drive, task management system, and other pages I frequent often regardless of which Space I’m working in.
You can hover the pinned Gmail or GCal icons for previews of upcoming calendar events or new emails.
〰️ Split View
Say goodbye to toggling back and forth between tabs! This almost completely eliminated my need for a second monitor.
🧹 Tidy Tabs
Arc auto-groups tabs based on subject matter with their “Tidy” feature. You can also turn these into folders to pin for later.

…or turn them into a Space.
⚙️ Extensions
All Chrome extensions work in Arc 💁🏽♀️ I keep my password managers, Loom, and time tracking app pinned in my extension bar for easy access across Spaces.
⬇️ Tidy Downloads
Arc renames your downloads so they make sense/are easily searchable in your chaotic ass Downloads folder.

✏️ Tidy Tab Titles
Arc renames pinned tabs so they’re easy to reference at a glance.

👀 5-second Previews
This is not organization related but it’s one of my favorite features. Get an overview of pages in Google when you hover over a link. Perfect for folks like me who look up a lot of things but don’t want to read lol.
