Viva Appscript!
I rediscovered how much I enjoy digging into code of various kinds, although my understanding can be overeager and lead to very late nights. I am always ready to ask the book (or course, or machine or whatever) what I did wrong, how to fix it, adjust the code in one whole piece in case I mistakenly erase something important…on and on and on.
As I work, I put on Apple Radio or one of my favorite background music apps, ~Endel~. It is, in a word, bliss.
At one point, I danced into the kitchen and kept moving as I made Rooibos tea, danced around the slats and legs of my soon-to-be-put-together bed…I consider it a tiny obstacle course and you can never have enough of those at my age (🤭).
I often watch Red Bull dance battles to relax and while I am forever a fan of ~Soraki~, I've been watching other amazing folks, and kind of vaguely yearning to be able to move like 'that'.
The Course Corrector — I need your help
Were there other lives than this, I would have been a real coder. Or maybe a hiphop dancer. Or both. Having said that, what I'm working on now has been very close to my heart since the Pandemonium*. I'm on the home stretch of creating my first digital product and would like to ask a favor.
Do you love signing up for online courses that you don't find the time, or motivation to complete? Especially when thinking back to the Panopticon* when folks were signing up to courses left and right.
If you're one of those folks, or you're just curious — as an esteemed member of my community you can download this early beta tool for free: ~The Course Corrector Beta~
Try it with your real courses, hit reply to this email and tell me:
1. What confused you?
2. What broke?
3. What did you love?
Thank you so much in advance. I love making things!

I am not talking about the disaster that is our current administration, and tbh, the white supremacist delusion, late stage capitalism, patriarchy and other deplorable things that power it. Plenty of people more knowledgeable than me have said the most effective things when I can only sputter or weep or rage. I treasure those who can speak and write about it with incisive analysis, historical knowledge and even solutions.
In this context, I highly recommend the ~Professional Left Podcast~ — brilliant writing and speaking from the sensible left in the middle of the country. They have about 20 years each of political research and writing. I always learn from them.
Just a note to remind you about our ‘Eyes on the Prize’ discussion group. Next one is; Friday, April 24 in the US: Eyes on the Prize — S02 E06 — A Nation of Law? (1968–1971).
You can find all the information here:

The Media Library
I have a new ~Media Library~ on my site. Most of the recommendations are coming from our ~Eyes on the Prize~ online discussion group every week. But as close personal folks, if you're enjoying any of these types of media, let me know — I'll have a look/listen and if it fits, I'll add it:
Books · Documentaries · Organizations · Podcasts · Socials · Speakers · Streamers · Substack · YouTubers

Thank you for reading. And for checking out the Media Library, sending recommendations, and trying out the Course Corrector.
Until next week, Terri
