Apologies for getting in touch ahead of the next newsletter (due 9.9) but I felt this was worth breaking the cycle for!

You may have already heard via other sources, but know this, as newsletter subscribers, you are my favourites and bestest. 

I’m really pleased to share that I’ve an EP coming out of the brilliant Glasgow label Bricolage.

It’s available via Bricolage’s Bandcamp page for pre-order tomorrow 4 September (Bandcamp Friday incidentally) and gets it’s a full release on 11 September.

The EP itself is a collaboration with Danish artist, Samatha Dubs. 

We met online a while back and went into the collaboration with no real plan beyond just seeing what happened. It was a really interesting and fun process, full of surprises, that, I think, yielded something beautiful that sits somewhere at the mid-point between our solo releases, which I feel gives it a really unique flavour. 

Our original plan was to self release, but, when I heard it completed, I’d an idea it might fit alongside releases on Bricolage (which has put out albums by a load of my favourite artists, check out their extensive back catalogue). I was delighted when John at Bricolage agreed and I am chuffed to bits that the EP will be catalogue number bc101.

I’m also playing a couple of free gigs (solo) as part of Southampton Music in the City (MitC) – noon at IO, a great new venue by Planet Sounds on Terminal Terrace, and 17.00 at Barraquito on Bedford Place. If you can get along it’d be great to see you.
