Thiccc Whale Shark

1. An exceptional example of the Rhincodon typus, admired for its ample midsection and significant presence in the marine environment, particularly impressive when observed astern in raking light.

2. colloq. A maritime unit of such generous proportions that it redefines the concept of underwater charisma, setting new benchmarks for oceanic girth.

Etymology. From Middle English 'whale' (from Old English 'hwæl') and 'shark' (of uncertain origin, possibly from Dutch 'scherk' meaning 'villain'), the term 'thiccc' was humorously appended by internet culture to denote its prodigious size. Unlike its etymological roots, this giant is more gentle giant than villain.

While snorkeling, we encountered a thiccc whale shark that glided by with nonchalant grandeur. The ocean had no choice but to accommodate.
