Hedgehog had a habit of mixing up doors and windows. When she wanted to go someplace, sometimes she went out through her door, but other times she got confused and climbed out the window instead.

Hedgehog mixed this up so many times that one day, after she had put on her tea, she stepped out the door to greet the day, only to find that it was also a window.

Which is to say, a specific type of window, this being the window of a train.

She stood there, mouth agape, as the world slid by in front of her, slowly and steadily. Here was the bakery, so she waved at Mr. Ross who was putting out the morning cakes. Then she passed by the local park, and Squirrel ran past after a wayward rubber ball.

After a few minutes of this, Hedgehog decided to get into the spirit of things. She scooted her front-porch rocker to the leading edge, sat in it, and yelped, “Woo-WOOOO!” She kept making train noises with great glee until the house came to a stop again in front of, well, her backyard tree.

She stood up and looked once more through her train-window, and noticed a reflection in the glass. It was the teapot, sitting there just inside her house, letting out steam. Her tea was ready, so she went inside to pour it.
