I'll go for Meepo, a kobold from Tales from the Yawning Portal, specifically The Sunless Citadel.
We discovered him pining for his pet dragon Calcyrx and though we treated him with disdain his weedy appearance and trusting nature won us over (helped by an excellent voice performance from our GM).
Meepo continued to journey with us on a couple more Tales of the Yawning Portal chapters, until, possibly, our GM tired of voicing his squeaky, high pitched, pathetic tones. Although it was dressed up as Meepo missing his tribe (who beat him and teased him). We begged him to stay but Meepo had other plans, we'd gone from feeling in charging of this lowly being to somehow coming under this spell.
I can't say I massively enjoyed Tales from the Yawning Portal, the first few adventures were a joy, but it quickly became a grind with a fairly unbelievable and tedious way to link each adventure, making it all disjointed and episodic, but for sure Meepo was a highlight.
