There can be only one for me, The Grognard Files.
Coming back to the RPG hobby in 2015, that year or maybe a little later, introduced me to The Grognard Files podcast, I quickly went back and devoured the first episodes that mixed cosy nostalgia with a reawakening of a previously dormant life, I was Robert De Niro in Awakenings, to Dirk and Blythy’s Robin Williams, that movie ended badly, didn’t it?
Still, as Podcasts turned to Meets, Vines, Book Reviews, film follow-a-longs and a thriving Discord, it’s clear that I’ve made a lot of friends thanks to the dynamic duo and had some wonderful times over the years - too many highlights to mention here, but collapsing a bench at Grogmeet, that threw me and a beer on to the floor as Paul “Call of Cthulhu 7th edition” Fricket and Chris “Into the Odd” McDowall looked down on me (literally, metaphorically), was certainly memorable, still I got a good blog entry or two out of it.
So rather than prattle on, I’ll just raise a glass to Dirk the Dice and Judge Blythy and to their wonderful GrogSquad, here’s to many more episodes of the files and many more Grogmeets to come!
