Today the question is First RPG Brought this year?.

Luckily Drive Thru RPG is my friend and I found out it’s The Dying Earth by Pelgrane Press. It may have been the first physical game I brought by Pelgrane, possibly via eBay as I didn’t have the pdf, until now.

I’ve still not played it, it glances down from my shelf now and again with a knowing smirk. I had hoped to find someone to run it at Pelicon, but to no avail. Still, there’s always next year.

I’ve been more of a fan of Vance’s science fiction work, The Demon Princes, than his fantasy, but a read-through of this and a play in a DCC Dying Earth game, The Great Visp Hunt, has convinced me I need to get it to the table.
