Introducing: World Cup Dispatch
Okay, enough folks expressed interest that I'm going to try to do daily-ish updates from my World Cup binging experience. That said, I don't want to flood your inbox when I'm normally averaging one email every 2 months.
SO!
I created this secondary, temporary newsletter. Is this the best way to do this? Probably not. But hey, I woke up to my upstairs neighbor's garbage bin covered in maggots, so I'm not my best self right now!
Anyway, if you would like to receive my World Cup Dispatch newsletter, just subscribe + confirm your subscription in the email you receive.
What will it look like:
I have no idea. I'm going to be watching all 64 games, so eventually I may run out of original thoughts. Or I'll get really excited about a certain story. The next one I'm planning to send out is just a bunch of things I don't know! I will definitely still send the original plan, a comparison of this comparison comparing comparisons. I may talk about who's dating who's exes. I may talk about this new "referee announces VAR rulings like the NFL" thing.
Basically, something, from me, will land in your inbox mostly every day, and it won't have any ads or pop up banners or paywalled content. That much I will promise you. (Not because I'm opposed to writers getting paid, but because I can't promise any quality worth a price, from me, in this particular secondary newsletter)
Conversely, if you would prefer to not get a bunch of emails from me over the next 26 days, no action is needed. I'll be leaving this newsletter largely alone for the next month. Maybe longer, because I'm nothing if not inconsistent!
Here's the link, one more time.
Now, I shall return to the 3am match I'm watching.
