• A man impersonated a police officer. At a police station. Matthew Bailey Thompson, 45, of Manassas told officers he was one of them to get through the gate of a secure lot at the Prince William County police station in Woodbridge Wednesday evening. He was refused entry and drove off; police arrested him the next day and charged him with trespassing and impersonating an officer. It is the second such case in Woodbridge since July. • A jury convicted Tavon Tykee Ferguson of second-degree murder in the Woodlawn shooting. The Alexandria man was found guilty after an eight-day trial in the killing of 21-year-old Jaylin Hartless, shot four times in a parking lot last September while two men tried car doors nearby.
