The Record Weekly: Norwood Hospital 2028
Aug 16, 2026
Welcome to this week's edition of The Norwood Record! 🌞
If you haven't heard, Gov. Maura Healey signed the eminent domain bill for the Norwood Hospital. Officials are saying a new hospital will be up in two years, if an operator is found quickly.
But do you know what's been bugging us lately? 🐜 The spotted lanternfly has been, um, well, spotted in Norwood and could be a big hazard to many local trees and grape vines.
And the Board of Selectmen heard from the DPW, a new business owner looking to open a book store in October, and took a victory lap for the hospital news.
Lastly, the community is coming together to make a difference - check out the story on Citizens for a Better Norwood.
We've got it all covered this week: politics, policies, and even some fun
